Candidate privacy policy

How WAVI handles your CV, your candidate profile and the applications you send.

Official WAVI policyCurrent version

What this covers

This policy covers the information WAVI handles when you apply for a job through the marketplace: your CV, the details on your candidate profile and the applications you send. Everything else about your account is covered by our main privacy policy.

What an employer can see

When you apply to an advert, the employer who posted it receives your name, the contact details on your account, the CV attached to that application and anything you wrote in your covering message. They see it because you applied; no other member of the marketplace does.

Your CV is not public

Your CV is stored privately. It is never listed, indexed or handed out as a link anyone can open, and it is served only to you and to the employers you have applied to. Appearing in employer searches is a separate choice: it is switched off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off again at any time.

A snapshot, not a live copy

The CV attached to an application is the one you sent at the time. Editing your profile later changes what new employers receive; it does not rewrite an application an employer has already read.

Removing it

You can replace or delete your CV from your account at any time. Deleting your WAVI account removes your candidate profile, your CV and your applications.
